You know, I thought it was funny when Kenny Bayless was announced as the referee for this fight; he went from the best referee in the business to someone that interferes too much.

It's as though people were backtracking to a point where they could feel comfortable using his performance to slate the outcome of the fight.

jumping in to break up a clinch that wasnt happening showed he was trigger happy. Not treating Floyd for excessive holding was insane. Lost all respect for that ref

Because Maidana has much shorter arms than Mayweather, he had no chance of winning if he wasn't permitted to fight on the inside.

        Bayless disgraced himself tonight.

Oh boy here we go. China was gassed from the get go and had a terrible game plan. U don't get points for punching arms on the inside

I think he robbed us of an entertaining fight that's what I believe. He did a horrible job, absolutely terrible to the point where I need to reevaluate how good of a ref he truly is as I always thought of him highly before. He was insanely quoick to break, sometimes he would break when they weren't even holding! And he was constantly very close to the fighters about to lunge in and break even though nothing was happening. His warnings, lack of warning, inconsistencies...man he was just all over the place and waaaay to involved. Basically I think he ruined the fight.

As far as the outcome I had no doubt Floyd would win but his job tonight was just awful. I was not pleased with any of the men in the ring tonight.

There was times when Bayless was literally looking like he was going to jump in to break before there was even any type of clinch. Floyd probably wins either way but holy crap Bayless had already decided that there would be no inside fighting in this fight. It was really ridiculous!

Bayless did do a bad job. But that's how bayless refs. Everyone here should know that. Yes a strict ref. Now what I will say is he definitely should not have broken up 90% of those clenched. Both fighters were putting work in.

If he's a strict ref, why did he let Floyd get away with clamping Maidana's arm all night, without as much as a warning?

Was Bayless paid a large $$$ bonus to help Floyd?
