    give the dragon some respect!!

surely now the non-fans of calzaghe should give him some restpect. not only did you talk him down before the fight but now they continue to make excuses on lacys behalf. '' if only they fought in the US'' and ''calzaghe ducked the first arranged fight''....fact is the dragon won fair and squar and took lacy to the cleaners in all 12 rounds. give the bloke respect....im sure lacy has.

Coming from surely one of the biggest Lacy fans on this site and living in the City where he is from I have to say I give Calzaghe alot of credit and I had seen a few of his fights proir to this and thought yeah he is a good fighter but he won't get away with that **** against Lacy and I was dead wrong he was far too fast with both his hands and feet and simply schooled him.Lacy should get credit too for his great heart and chin given the beating he took but it is cleary finally Joes time to shine and I am happy for him because I am a fan of Boxing before I am a fan of Jeff Lacy or any other fighter.

i have incredible respect for calzaghe now - his style beat lacy, and bad. it was painful for me to watch that, i thought no one could ever get handled worse than when tito got owned by hopkins ... this fight was 10X's worse, i'm still in disbelief as to what happened to lacy. he's done. theres no coming back from that - he was just totally outclassed by a boxer - thats why i ALWAYS said that if lacy ever fought taylor, he'd handle lacy - calzaghe got to him first and did to him what taylor, hopkins or tarver would have done if they were afforded the fight.

huge props to Joe, the dragon.

i totally agree with you. lacy should get credit of course, to bravely fight against a faster more experience boxer and put up with that manchester crowd takes guts, no doubt he will be back and i hope he learns from that fight and doesnt let it shadow his career. also it is nice to see a boxing fan over a fighter...good job....top man
