I thought you bought tickets already? Or was that Porter/Brook?
I was going to last week but then my shop chief told me I have to go on a TDY in October so I thought I wouldn't be able to go to this fight. Just found out yesterday that the TDY isn't until the end of October so I was gonna buy tickets now. I mean I still can buy tickets but I haven't been to a fight where I wasn't ringside. Haha not meaning I can't go but once you're down there kicking it with and talking to fighters it kind of spoils you.

Yet on fight night, there were over 1000 unsold seats and 1000 tickets that had been given away. K2 probably came to their senses and have only booked a 5,000 seat venue instead of a 9,000 seat venue as they did in his last fight.
AFAIR attendance for GGG-Geale was around 8,500 w/ 7,800 sold tickets. As for GGG-Rubio, according to AXS.com, most of the seats are already sold out.

“Mexican Style” is headlined by the highly anticipated 12-round world middleweight title fight between Boxing’s fastest rising star, WBA/IBO Middleweight Champion, GENNADY “GGG” GOLOVKIN and WBC Interim Middleweight Champion MARCO ANTONIO “El Veneno” RUBIO.

“In the first two weeks we’ve sold over 75% of the available tickets to “Mexican Style” which truly validates the popularity of Gennady on the West Coast,” said Tom Loeffler, Managing Director of K2 Promotions. [Click Here To Read More]

I guess I have no reason to not believe this. Other than the fact that stubhub called me the other day offering me tickets for 53 bucks. They have never done that before.
