There is no way in hell Floyd would have slowed Margarito down. If Cotto couldn't do it, hitting Margarito with everything and the kitchen sink with twice the power of floyd, how the hell would Floyd have done it?

Margarito would have forced him to the ropes and battered him worse than Castillo or Maidana and eventually walked him down.

I don't see how Floyd could possibly beat this version of Margarito, there is no way. Only offensive powerhouses like Pac and Mosley would have been able to slow him down and it would have to be a war.

Difference between Cotto's defense and Floyd's is night and day.

Floyd is still a far better defensive fighter and simply much better fighting on his back foot. Margarito would have given him a tough fight, but assuming Margarito didn't have plaster hands for the fight Floyd beats him pretty decisively. I think it'd be just like the Chico fight minus all the knockdowns, Floyd still had his legs back then.

I'm with u on this one. Floyd is much more intelligent and faster. Cotto was having difficulty fighting on the back foot and his defence was awkward.

Whether Margarito cheated in that fight or not we will never know for sure. Only thing we know for sure is Cotto had a terrible game plan that was adjusted in the rematch. If he would have clinched Marg say 20 times in that fight, he would have never lost. Only Pac can constantly stick and move like that all night. Even Floyd would have had to clinch.
