if Lacey wasnt so damn muscle bound, he could of landed a few big shots & won the fight earlyu. it was just that JC got abit lucky that Lacey was so slow on the night, & that Laceys big shots were just missin him slightly. credit to JC he ducked well, his hands are still fast, he had home advantage etcetera but dont get carried away

yeh but a big puncher vs a fast boxer & it is going to be one sided becos the big punchers only chance is to land big punches (which Lacey couldnt do becos he was away from home & nervous on the night)

Lol, some Cal fans from another board think that he would've knocked out Hagler & Toney. The 2 of the best chins in the middleweight history.

Yeah i also thought a lot of people jumped the gun on lacy.

Joe did look good his hand speed made the difference he saw lacy's shots coming and he kept popping him with shorter quicker punches.

Well 35-2 Syd Vanderpool (who beat Glen Johnson, but lost to Bernard Hopkins), Robin Reid and others couldn't manage it. Guys at the 2000 Olympics couldn't manage it where Lacy got a medal.

                    Give me a break.

Everybody knew that if Calzaghe could roll back the years, he could easily get the better of Lacy because Calzaghe was That Good. It's just that nobody expected him to be able to roll back the years like that.

Well, I don't go along with these word games. There are things that Calzaghe does that Jones Jr couldn't, and there are things that Jones Jr did that Calzaghe can't, etc. They are all in the same class - top-class middleweights/super-middleweights, and they all have their own styles where they do some things better than others and other things not as well as others.

Calzaghe beats Toney on styles, IMO. Nunn was never at his best at 168, and if Steve Little can out-hussle Nunn then just imagine the workrate, speed of hand, sense of timing/distance of Calzaghe against a faded Nunn at 168. Eubank would of beaten Calzaghe, yes. Benn, yeah if he was at his best then yeah okay Benn gets Calzaghe out of there. Jones beats Calzaghe on styles, nothing to be ashamed of.
