He probably won't though hence the criticism. The only people defending Santa Cruz are dumb Mexicans who can't even recognise their own double standards.
Santa Cruz didn't give up his belt and a career high payday just to avoid the fight though so its not the same as what Quillin did. If you think Santa Cruz is ducking Rigondeaux, that's your opinion but its not the same situation so there is no double standard. Quillins situation is more like Bowe tossing his belt in the trash to avoid fighting Lewis, except its Korobov hes avoiding for whatever reason. I think most people would agree Quillin looks like a clown in this situation.

The fighter decides whether to sign a contract or not. Quillin has been more than complicit in his crap competition so far, why would I not blame him for this?

And yes, Leo Santa Cruz should be getting ripped, too. No Haymon excuse for him either. No Arum excuse for Pacquiao, Pac is the 2nd most powerful fighter in boxing, he can say no and insist on better fights.

Santa Cruz is fighting a god damn bum. I don't care if he didn't give up his belt or not.

Yes, Haymon is very good for boxing by shoving mismatches down fans throats. 50-1 favorites on premium cable channels? Great.

Glaser said haymon has to give the go ahead for all his fighters. And why would gbp bid if peter was gonna just drop the belt. Peter isn't his own boss

You mad because he's been here 1 day and his 5 posts are head and shoulders above any of the 10k you've ever written.

People on this site hate Quillen because he's a Haymon fighter who's black and American that's equals the trifecta of hate on this board.

A fighter always has final say. No excuses for fighting some former sparring partner ranked 90th or whatever, and no excuses for refusing your biggest payday and dropping your belt.

Again, Quillin has been happy to fight crap opposition to this point. Why wouldn't I blame him?

Couldn't agree more. Quillin did everyone a favor by giving up a title he wasn't defending in a professional manner and turning down money he didn't deserve.

In a time where everyone is looking out for themselves Quillin is a breath of fresh air with his unconditional faithfulness to his promoter, network, and advisor.
