I don't think Calzaghe's injury was faked at all. I'm a big Lacy fan, and unless Jeff drastically improves his hand speed and pure boxing ability, I don't ever see him winning a round against Calzaghe. Calzaghe's performance was one of the more dominant performances I've seen in recent history, and Lacy was outclassed. I hope "Left Hook" comes back strong, but he's got some serious work to do. Calzaghe had no reason to fake an injury, as Saturday night proved.

everyone was talking how he was ducking lacy etc when he pulled out of the fight last year but after what happened last weekend, only conclusion I can come to is that he realized jeff was a threat, pulled outta the fight solely to have more time to put himself through a hell of a training camp to come out on top last saturday.
