So if the skill set doesnt change, why did floyd make a big deal out of it (im talking about the NSAC approved stock red gloves, not the blue ones)?

Special, custom made, magic gloves, with less knuckle padding than official commission approved gloves. Goes to show Maidana can't win any fight unless he wears them.

Why didn't floyd let maidana use the NSAC approved red punchers gloves that his own tmt fighters used that same night?

because floyd wanted to have it his way and everyone went long with it.

for those who are crying over the gloves get over it. maidana is a dirty fighter and would do what ever he could to win the fight and this includes head butting,rabbit punching, low blows, you name it. That's the reason floyd doesn't want chino to wear the gloves.

It could be cuz they made maidana more dangerous or it could be that Floyd just got annoyed. Remember, maidana initially choose illegal gloves and had to switch them. Maybe Floyd just got mad that Marcos choose illegal gloves and said screw you, now you have to use the gloves that I choose for you. Cuz Floyd didn't reject the initial gloves, the commission did which suggests to me he either didn't see them at first or doesn't care.

I know for me, if my opponent tried to sneak in illegal gloves I would not be happy. Dunno if I would force him to use different gloves just to spite him but I'd do something to piss him off if I could. Floyd does seem like he would do some **** like that. Doesn't mean he's scared of those gloves though.

Powerlock are punchers gloves kid , Garcia chose them over Reyes and has no problems using them , for Garcia it was about not being able to train in them before the first fight .

Floyd allowed Cotto to use MX gloves so its not the gloves . oh wait a minute , Garcia brought used custom gloves last fight that appeared to be tampered with and they were rejected by the commission and Floyd called cheating , being as powerful as he is Floyd said fck you trying to cheat your not wearing them .
