Floyd Has Been An Arrogant Pr*ck His Entire Career; Whoa Wuz Me!

Poor thing... He's battled the critics since being a kid. He's lived his life like such a gangster, arrogant, boastful, Money is his god, frequents strip clubs while the kids out of wedlock are home sleeping waiting for Daddy, slinging chairs like a thug in a burger joint, and on and on and on.... Where is "humble" in this punk? He's brought 99.99% of this on himself. He's the Barry Bonds of Boxing. He's been an arrogant, boastful pr*ck all his life then plays the sympathy card for all he's had to endure. That's how this illiterate thinks. He wouldn't understand it if you explained it to him.

That's why Floyd will never be considered a top ATG. Even if he beats Marciano's record, Marciano never ducked a fight ever. Marciano fought every one in his era.
This post is so ****** and chronologically inaccurate its over the top, even by boxingscene standards.

We can start with Floyd's time at jr welterweight. It is well documented that Arum stated that Cotto was "too green" at the time to fight Floyd. Matter of fact, Floyd's critics have often criticized him for wanting to fight Cotto before Miguel was seasoned enough. It is also well documented that Hatton sat ringside at Floyd-Gatti. And when asked about a potential showdown, he gave the infamous "I need a couple tune-ups" response. As for Tsyzu. He had an exclusive contract with Showtime and Floyd had one with HBO. And at the time, neither were big draws. The fight was impossible to make.

As for Margarito, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Floyd could have fought him when he first hit the welterweight division. But Floyd wasn't too far removed from his lightweight days. But after the Judah fight, I don't see how anybody can complain. Floyd fought the lineal champion in Baldomir. And ever since Cotto beat Martinez, all I've been reading on this site is how GGG needs to go after the lineal champion in Cotto before doing anything else. Why is the lineal title so important now, but it wasn't back then? And after Baldomir, Floyd got the big payday with DLH and Hatton. Don't see why he's criticized for that. Not to mention Margarito was beaten by Paul Williams and Mosley, who Floyd fought after he beat Plasterman. Floyd is criticized for fighting the winner of Mosley-Margarito instead of the loser. Please explain to me how that makes sense.

As for Winky. The notion that Floyd ducked him is beyond ridiculous considering Floyd was a jr lightweight and Wink was a jr middleweight when the fight was discussed.

As for Martinez. I don't see how anybody can criticize Floyd for not wanting to fight a middleweight. He's a welterweight. And he's only moonlighted at jr middleweight for monster p aydays with DLH, Cotto, and Canelo. Martinez isn't that level of an attraction, and not worth the risk. Much like Ward isn't a big enough payday for GGG to risk moving up and fighting him.

Boxing is subjective and everyone is entitled to their opinion. But you come across as very unaware of WTF you're talking about. Which leads me to believe that you weren't even following boxing back then. And simply regurgitating bull**** that you've read or heard to fit your agenda.

People eat this up like he genuinely cares. I wish he'd really stop fronting..you cant go from "I don't care about anything as long as I keep getting big checks" to asking for pity because "i'm fighting the whole world". Every fighter is fighting the damn world, every fighter has a side of followers and a side of critics. Every single last one.

If you can explain to me how a welterweight could ever be considered ducking a lightweight, maybe I'll believe you believe the crap you posted while quoting me.

Your comments make a lot of sense. Unfortunately, a fool will believe what he wants to believe, regardless of what the facts say. The world is full of conspiracy theorists who pick their own facts, and at least 100 of them post on this message board.
