Agreed! Margarito won one fight over an A-level opponent and that was against Cotto. Based on that, he became the beast of the BoxingScene message board that Floyd Mayweather supposedly retired to avoid. Those who anointed him as the guy who would KO Mayweather never mentioned the fact that Margarito lost to Daniel Santos and Paul Williams before the Cotto fight and lost to Shane Mosley and Manny Pacquiaio after the Cotto fight. Also, he was behind on the scorecards against Joshua Clottey when Clottey was disqualified.

In other words, Margarito lost or was losing to every significant opponent he fought except the one Cotto fight.

Please name them? The only one I remember is Kermit Cintron. I don't count Joshua Clottey because that was a disqualification and Clottey was winning on the scorecards when he was disqualified.
