  • Comments Thread For: Quigg Hopes To Face Frampton Within Two Fights

SCOTT QUIGG has told rival world champion Carl Frampton to face him at Old Trafford or the City of Manchester Stadium. Frampton, 27, outpointed Spain's Kiko Martinez for the IBF world super-bantamweight in front of 16,000 fans in Belfast on Saturday.

Frampton's promoter Barry McGuigan insists a clash against Bury's WBA champion Quigg will only happen on their terms and in Belfast.

It doesn't matter where the fight takes place, it should take place where it makes sense to take place
If it doesn't matter then just go to Belfast and stop contradicting yourself.

Don't know how many were in attendance but he drew a solid crowd for his last fight at the m.e.n

I used to like Quigg but he's another casualty of Eddie Hearns poor match making. While Frampton has been improving his opposition and improving with every fight, Quigg has been spoon fed sub par opposition and will find himself lacking when faced with someone not turning up to lose.

I used to be high on this fight but it's lost its lustre, Frampton will walk through him.

Yeah he was headlining, I doubt it would of sold out the 20k arena as he was fighting a virtual unknown but it was a solid crowd. M.E.N would sell out no problem for a Frampton fight.

...just get it on lads and soon, it makes sense financially and career-wise. If the venue is an issue then do it in Liverpool at Anfield or Goodison.

They could even put Rigo on the undercard.....he'd love to have a crowd turn-up to see him fight and for some TV cameras to be there.
