The purse bids that were previously scheduled for this Friday, September 12th for the Deontay Wilder vs. Bermane Stiverne and Danny Garcia vs. Viktor Postol fights have been postponed until October 1st, according to Dan Rafael of ESPN. It's unknown at this time why the purse bids were postponed.
It's a positive for both fights because it gives them more time to try and negotiate the fights before it gets to a purse bid. I still see them both going to purse bids though.
Garcia may choose to vacate his WBC title rather than face Postol unless the World Boxing Council gives Garcia permission to fight a unification match against IBF 140 pound champion Lamont Peterson next. That's the fight that some boxing want to see take place, and it's a fight that made the most sense out of the mismatches that took place last month between Garcia and Rod Salka and Peterson and Edgar Santana.
