Let's be real, Floyd doesn't put sentences together well, not making a jab at his education, but it's the truth, when he speaks he sometimes struggles to find the right words to fight what he's stating. In this case, he's right, I just read a recent article about Roger Mayweather and his health right now due to his boxing career, and how he has to have someone living with him in order to assist him with his daily living, that **** is serious. No fighter wants to do that afterwards, the boxers who think it's a badge of honor to be braindead have all of my respect for doing what they did, however, personally, a lot of fighters these days care about their health, not just Floyd, if that fight happened and another boxer had the same thing happen getting kneed tackled etc, they'd be saying the same stuff, we just comment more because Floyd's name is attached to the headline. Why do you think Margarito got suspended? And his trainer banned? That stuff affects you, Perez made a guy brain dead and nothing shady happened for that fight......Perez is and still is affected by that......you all need to start using common sense, this is a sport that 90% of you all don't even participate in lol, use some common sense instead of your emotions, you all with your cry baby rants would be horrible boxers.
So its ok for a grown man to beat the crap out of a boy in Jrs Gym nearly KOing him and putting him down with Jr mocking ? No CONCERN for the BOYS HEALTH ??????????
Its OK for JR to have health in the ring but ALL OTHERS can't ???? VICTOR ORTIZ
Some dirty tactics is just fair play and part of the game, but when Miadana tries to knee him, bites his hand, repeatedly rabbit punches and throws blatant COMBOS to the balls and the ref doesn't "see" it or do anything about it and Floyd's just expected to not react and just keep doing his thing then that's childish. Everyone does something dirty, but u can't be allowed to win a fight by doing the **** Maidana was doing
whats so new and special about maidaina's style?,Do[some] people out here really follow boxing?...and for how long?...i've seen tons of fighters with the same style throughout the years...it is a legitimate style in boxing, and those who are shocked by it cannot, and should not call themselves boxing fans...watch some old fights get educated, and become a real fan. ..and cheers!!,to all real boxing fans out here!!
My health is more important than money as well....I think everyone with common sense feels the same....but I get it, Floyd says it and it takes on a different meaning than anyone else who loves living....right?!?....smh
The fan game is one of the fakest games ever played....a fighter can be a coward, then laughed at for slurred speech, and respected for being in comas with brain damages....man, you dudes are impossible to please
you make an excellent point...it's sad when any boxer ends up badly damaged in the sport i love...however..i feel he should retire immediately if he has any serious health concerns...i wouldn't want to see him end up like so many of our favorites from the past.love him or hate him...no boxer deserves that.
I wonder where all this outrage was when Roach was so concerned with Pac health concerning him fighting Canelo or Shane & Margarito when they were relevant? Or Pac's concern with his health fighting Cotto at a comfortable weight? So many hypocrites in this thread its pathetic!

I don't think anyone has a problem with Maidana's style. The problem is the excessive intentional fouling. And his corner instructing him to intentionally foul that was the deal breaker.
Dirty fighter?
For years many fighters have been complaining about Mayweather's elbows. Yet anytime someone called him out on it, he'd get defensive. Saying it's part of boxing and what not.
Yup! That's why I just laugh at his b1tch ass for crying cuz he's a ****** mofo hinself.
All these lil wannabe tough guys on here kill me. Pounding their chest, screaming "boxing is a man's game", all while tucked away nice and cozy in their lil office cubicle. I'm a sheet metal mechanic by trade and work in commercial construction. You'd be hard pressed to find 6" of unmarked space between the numerous cuts and gashes I've acumilated on my arms and hands over the years. I do something almost everyday that could leave me dead, or permanently f.ucked up. So I know a thing or two about working in a dangerous profession.
And that's why it annoys the hell outta me to see desk jockeys like many of y'all telling folks to sack up for your entertainment. Just because my job is dangerous, does it mean I should ignore all safety precautions? If I have an extremely green helper working me me that is uncomfortable doing something. Should I call him a p.ussy and tell him he should have been a nurse. I say a big, bold F.UCK NO to both. And I give a big, bold F.UCK YOU to anybody that tells me, "thats what you signed up for.
