I called it when I said Julio Diaz is gonna give Khan serious problems, and I'm gonna be calling it here again. Lopez has a good lead left hook, as well as a good counter left hook, Khan should have gone with someone else cause this could spell trouble.

Lopez hasn't been looking great lately but he still has some of those tools u mentioned, it probably would still be a back and forth fight as long as it lasts. I did want to see like a yr ago, but I agree seems like Khan should fight someone else now

True, a soft touch was probably the wrong term. The circumstances between Khan and Brook are different, Khan badly needs a decent name win on his resume and a step up from Collazo, i'm not sure Lopez is what Kahn needs to elevate his position.

There is a possibility Khan is probably now going for the Brook fight in May, thus he doesnt need a huge win to secure that fight

But if he wants the Floyd fight. then yes Lopez will not do anything for him, i dont see Khan gettin motivated for this fight, this could be risky for Khan, cuz when he lacks motivation he tends to struggle. Lopez has the ability to hurt him

I think Khan looks at his best when he knows how dangerous his opponent is, i dont see Lopez bringing the best out of Khan, motivation might play a huge role here, Lopez has nothing to lose, similar to Julio Diaz

Worst choice they could have made....Lopez is the most threatening of Guerrero & Alexander but Khan gains the least from beating him..

The irony is that Khan already whooped Maidana's ass, yet because some time has passed that is something you can look passed with such arrogance.

Umm lets not overinflate that. Khan barely squeeked by Maidana and many people believed that Maidana shouldve won. So lets not get crazy now. Maidana would destroy Khan in a rematch everyone knows that. And Khan fighting Lopez doesnt surprise me. Sounds like another Haymon project. We just saw it this past saturday when Broner fought an ESPN journeyman and struggled. NOW we are going to see Khan fight another boxer he is suppoed be better than. Khan is a joke so is broner and all of their fans are idiots too that love these lame ass fights.

This fight is going to be a waste of time, even as a tune up Amir gains nothing from defeating Lopez. I'd rather see Amir take on a real contender and get another good win.

This is what also concerns me. And with Lopez, who as you said, can **** a bit, much more than Diaz.

I can't see a May date now for the mega fight, unless Brook skips his homecoming and goes straight for Wembley.

I guess as fans we want these fights straight away, maybe both will take their time and let it play out how it does.

Yea and when they do make good fights they ruin it by contrversal decisions by judges (Canelo vs Lara)
