Ellerbe said Mexicans in Mexico City showed more love for Mayweather than their own fighters! Perhaps he should learn Spanish; I bet he'd be surprised at what some of them said. It's no secret that Floyd almost always fights an opponent of Hispanic descent on Mexican holidays for marketing purposes. They love boxing, and they'd love to see him lose. If Maidana beats Mayweather this Saturday, the cheers will be deafening.Comment

If that were true than the Guerrero, Hatton, and first Maidana fights would not have done under 1 million PPV buys.
His biggest numbers are done when he is fighting a Mexican draw or had Canelo fighting in the co main event like the Ortiz and Cotto fights. Mexican fight fans love warriors in the ring, not ducking pot shot runners.Comment

I dont see hispanics flocking to any of Floyd's fights unless he's fighting one of their fellow countrymen. Lets see how many hispanics are in attendance if Floyd were to fight Devon Alexander.Comment
