But I don't think that beating Alexander at 140 and beating Abregu means that you are tested and proven at WW. Don't get me wrong, I thing Bradley is a good fighter, but he nor Marquez really belong at WW. And I think Marquez is clearly one of the best fighters of our era. Pac has been campaigning at WW for years now, and for the past couple of years the excuse for him not fighting the top WW in the division was because of the cold war. Now the whole stable has opened up and for those in the GB stable like Thurman, Porter Brook, Maidana, Guerrero, and even Berto they have been or currently are World Champions in the WW division. That to me is tested and proven. And I would much rather see Pac vs any of them rather than Garcia. Not that I don't think Garcia is a good fighter, but he's a Jr. WW and I want to see the WBO WW champ fight other WW's.

As far as the PED accusations go, they did start around 09-10 , but fighters did not start to really push for it in their fights until around 11'. And since then the only true WW Pac has fought was a washed up Mosley. And Pac has yet to score a KO of these smaller guys. Now I'm not accusing Pac one way or the other, but with everything that happened during the first negotiations, and his sudden absence of power it does look su****ious to me.

You spot on! I think when Manny re-signed with TR, it was his way of saying he wasn't going to fight the top WWs.

      So.....

So what if he "catches" Manny. All of this weak or cracked chin talk is getting old already. Roidquez had something other than his natural strength in him that night. Anybody who knows boxing, knows that. Look at what it took to stop Manny. He was STILL coming forward and willing to take shots. There is nothing wrong with his chin. He is defensively responsible so who cares if he gets caught? He's supposed to, it's a fight! Manny, unless he gets old overnight, which is possible given the way he fights, he is going to beat Danny up. PERIOD.

        Whose after danny-crawford or mikey?

If danny gets the fight I'm gonna be pulling for him. Good fight imo.

they are thinking of going down to 140, surely you can't complain then? the person going down in weight is usually the one at much higher risk of showing up lethargic, but if it happens i believe it will be a catchweight as garcia has seemingly been having a harder time making weight and wants to move up

This is only so Floyd/Pac can fight for the 140/147/154 Ring titles all at the same time.

                The same......

Good post here until you said he's not the "same" fighter anymore. You're right but for the wrong reasons. Are you the same exact person you were 5-6 years ago? Exactly. Manny is smarter than he's ever been in the ring now. He's 35 and had to adapt to that fact. He's done it well. Actually, this version of Manny is even more dangerous than the Manny of 2009. You know why? The 2009 version of Manny didn't have to pace himself, he didn't care about getting clipped, he just overwhelmed you with stamina, speed, angles, and sheer violence. This version of Manny is more cerebral and calculating. Which version do you prefer to watch is what it comes down to.

I thought they were in serious negotiations with Floyd who manny wants to fight?

Everytime manny allegedly wants the Floyd fight so bad, his team floats names of someone else. DO bob and roach ever check with many to see who he wants to fight.

Last week roach said Floyd's legs are shot-now he wants danny next. Geez.

                      September 2, 2014

"I've talked to Bob Arum several times (recently)," said De La Hoya, trim, patient, engaged, clear-eyed, in better command at the podium overseeing the presser than he'd been just last month, today. "And I'm meeting with Arum next week."

Pray tell, do you have a set agenda, a list of co-promotions you'd like to do? "We're on the same page on a Manny Pacquiao versus Danny Garcia fight," Oscar said. "That would be a good first start, wouldn't it?" he said to me, locking in eye contact with the certainty of someone who knew he didn't have hijinks to keep under wraps, or was engaging in behavior that could and did conjure self loathing spells.

All the talking about Mayweather is just hype, and TR talks it up everytime before Floyd fights.
Of course Oscar is on board, why wouldn't he be? Pac is a superstar, he is the golden goose in this scenario. GB would only stand to make money.

But is Arum on board? I doubt it. He wouldn't mind getting some Floyd action. But why would he share promotional fees to a Pacquiao fight?
