Herrera was not a tune up. He got no respect from the media and Fans including me but he showed he's a top jr ww. He beat Ruslan in a great fight. Algeri beat Ruslan and is getting praised left and right. He's now fighting the second best fighter in the world Manny Pacquiao. Based off that win.

Herrera was signed and promoted as a look good tuneup for Danny Garcia to appeal to the Puerto Rican fanbase. Just because it backfired horribly doesn't change what it was meant to be.

And Pac is getting a lot of **** for fighting Algieri.

That is not acceptable. He fights twice a year. You fight to make it to a title. Once you get there you fight to defend it. Canelo is not even a comparison. He is not the number 1 guy in the division, he fight multiple times and even Clottey I'd not as big of a joke as the Salka fight. I'm Rican and from the same area as Danny. I do not dislike him but I do not like the disrespect he shows as a fighter lately. This is the only sport I'm passionate about and it annoys me to no end. He should not go around acting as he dominated either fight. He loss to Herrera and beat Lucas in a tough fight. Not an a$$ whooping.

They were meant to be tuneups. Just because some ended up harder than expected doesn't change that. I'll take back Campbell and Holt, because Garcia was still on the come up when he fought them. The others? Absolutely.

Seriously, do people not remember the expectations of these fights? Judah was supposed to get knocked out within 4. Herrera, too. Morales was the old man Garcia would slaughter in the rematch, and he did.

A Matthysse rematch won't happen unless Matthysse ends up the best option for Garcia again. Only way that happens is if Matthysse picks up a huge win, or Garcia suffers a setback loss. They need to be on even ground again.

I'd like to see it, but I get why it won't.
