Garcia won by scores of 114-112, 114-112 and 115-111. That's hardly a decisive victory as you claim.Bottom line is Garcia controlled the fight. Matthysse was coming on strong for 1 1/2 rounds but Garcia closed his eye and that made it easier for Garcia to land a lot cleaner. He decisively beat him, it wasn't close. Garcia came out without a scratch and Matthy's eye looked pretty bad.
There are folks on these boards calling for a fifth Pacquiao-Marquez fight after Marquez knocked Pacquiao unconscious, but a close, entertaining fight that involved an eye injury isn't rematch material?
I think Danny Garcia is a very good fighter, but he needs to start taking a more active role in the management of his career. Frankly, I think Garcia needs the Matthysse rematch more than Matthysse does. Matthysse's imperfections are known and accepted. But his reputation a warrior is well-established and it's clear he's willing to fight anyone.
Garcia, on the other hand, is less and less convincing every time he fights and opens his mouth. There's a general consensus that Garcia was handed a gift in his win over Herrera, who he pretends he beat, and the Salka fight was one of boxing's most embarrassing moments in recent years. After the Salka travesty, Garcia had the audacity to suggest that Peterson still "has a little bit to prove." Does Danny not realize how ridiculous this looks?Comment

Garcia dominated Judah whereas Matthysse fought virtually on terms with him.
Relevance? Zero. Same as the Herrera bout when it comes to this discussion.
These guys need to latch onto the smallest kinds of roundabout victories though.

I swear to God if Mayweather didn't exist, Garcia would be public enemy #1. Take this guy post for example, the hatred is real folks. I like Garcia because he keep shitting on the haters.I like the way he never addresses the rematch. "I beat him up." Yeah, no one is denying that, we're addressing a whole new question called why are you hesitating to do the rematch you b1tch! Fight you're number #1 challenger or live life in hiding. The pressure will not stop!
We're in 2014, 2013 is long gone you b1tch!Comment

Go to town all you want on those posters. It is very embarrassing sometimes, as a Matthysse fan, to see the complaints all this time later.
Both guys fought rough. It was a fight. **** happens, you deal or lose. Lucas didn't deal. It sucks as a Matthysse fan, Dirk asked why Lucas fans don't express disappointment in his performance? Go check my reaction the day after in the RBR thread. I was pissed. Lucas gave away 3 rounds when his eye swelled shut. Those 3 rounds cost him the fight. I'm still disappointed about it.Comment

Matthysse is above Broner, that should be clear, but he's obviously not an A level fighter and Broner isn't yet a B level.Comment

Cuz those are the ppl that talk the most ****
He has a lot of room to talk when it comes to Matthysse. That's who was talking **** wasn't it????Comment

Garcia didn't dominate Judah. Judah came on in that fight and exposed some of Danny's flaws.Comment

never said you were a lucas fan but obviously you hate garcia which implies your still mad garcia beat lucas....garcia/hererra?we can talk about that on another thread.....stay on subjectComment

Yet Garcia accomplished more than anyone in his division and much more than Matthyse never came close to doing. Pretty salty to write this bowl of yacht.Garcia won by scores of 114-112, 114-112 and 115-111. That's hardly a decisive victory as you claim.
