Broner isn't anything special. He has speed but he throws the same punches over and over again and admires his work too much. If he could move, he would do even worse because he uses his upper body to throw punches from the elbows and having your feet planted allows you to generate power. If he were to be on the move, he would lose his power and people would walk through him and just beat him down.

Maybe we should yell for Broner-Molina and use their [Broner and Matthysse] respective results to see who would fare better in a fight between themselves? I know triangle theories don't always work but for the sake of seeing who can do better against a bigger, power punching C-level fighter, I'm all for it.

Taylor was not a hard puncher, neither was Molina. When you go from fighting soft punching guys, where you aren't too concerned about what is coming back at you, to a guy that can drop you with one punch, your game plan changes completely. If you aren't prepared for that kind of a fight, then you are dead in the water heading in.

Where does this idea that Broner is a special fighter come from? His skills are not that good. Good speed but gets hit constantly.

He's a good solid fighter, contender, a titleholder ONLY if matched properly.

Stick him to the Emmanuel Taylor type competition and he'll shine. But that's it.

Just because he used to remind people of Mayweather doesn't mean he actually is anywhere near Floyd's level.

Maidana was bullrushing in the beginning and kept Broner from setting his feet. The more he's forced to move, the more ordinary he looks. He fights like a tank because that's the only way he knows how to effectively utilize his speed/power. He needs to learn how to punch while on the move, kinda like Frampton was doing against Martinez.

His Problem is when he "MOVES", he is AWFUL off of his Backfoot, I don't get why he tries to do it. When he comes Forward or keep the fight in the middle of the ring and use his Hand Speed he is a totally different fighter

I think this kid needs a Freddie roach or Robert Garcia at this point to get him out of his bad habits. He did look better tonight with the high guard instead of the half ass shoulder roll though which is good.
And props to him for calling out Lucas and other fake champs fighting bums lol.
Top 5- no, no, no. Maybe top 25, in his division! If Taylor had power he would've put Boner on his ars! He needs a trainer that will not give in to him. He is running his camp not the trainer, similar to cotto when he was with Pedro Diaz. I hope he does get in the ring with the machine- he'll get knocked out by round 7

This is kind of what I meant...move forward, let his hands of with those great combinations and move out...he shoots his combos then stands there and takes 4-5 shots in return like a dummy...and gets backed into the corners at will...I personally think he could refine his game and learn to be a smarter fighter but he seems like he thinks he's already at the top even after being hum bled by Maidana. I'm not a fan of his per say and I can't stand his out of the ring antics but IDK, maybe I'm crazy? But I see talent in him.

                  I agree, somewhat.
Some kind of head movement would do wonders. Dude just lays his head to one side or just pulls back with it in the air.
If he worked on that he could become great, sadly I think it's to late.

Berto has more skill than this guy.
