gatti and ward were paid, gatti got 2 million for the 3rd fight
they were hired for a job
this sparring match - they are not gonna stop unless someone tells them to, they are fighters, its ingrained in their mentality
You're wasting your time. If Floyd, Lenny, Al the ****** or anyone connected to TMT even got caught child ******ing, IMAPRICK would say it was a 'slick binnis move...get dat gwap etc.'. He is as bad as BigDumb for floydgobbling.
Honestly, I felt pretty sick watching that sparring. People were getting seriously hurt, and most definitely concussed. Mr. Mayweather himself mocked someone who was seriously hurt, and they were sparring brutal 30 minute rounds until someone quit. I think it may even be illegal, but I know for damn sure it is unethical. No wonder TMT fighters except Floyd lose all the time. Imagine all the concussions Love must have sustained over the years due to the ****** dog house mentality?
I do not think that type of sparring makes a fighter better. They are getting insulted from all the morons around the ring, taking punishment for no real reason. Then you have someones mother and brother there trying to avenge a loss, and someone who just sparred brutally is forced to get in the ring and go till exhaustion again?
they dont always spar like that, its an initiation process. its meant to test their heart and commitment as well as harden them for a hard profession.
as far as getting insulted by people around the ring, thats important to teach fighters about a form of abuse many dont take into consideration. only difference between the "morons" outside that ring and the actual morons on this very forum for instance is the people at the gym actually know boxing.
funny how its all ****s and giggles when people who never boxed in their lives are talking **** anonymously over the net, but its somehow worse when people who are actually in the fight game does it to someones face. its all meant to let people know, there is no pity in boxing. people will kick you when you are down every time, just like the beating itself you rather take it in the gym than under the lights.
again, this is not good on a day to day basis, but its not done on a day to day basis. its meant as a way to test newcomers, squash beefs and build mental toughness. all of which im sure it does successfully.
personally it made me want to get on a plane and get in there myself
The sparring sessions are barbaric and counter-production. Mayweather was saying something like "these guys spar until someone quits." What kind of training technique is this? I could see a guy getting really ****** up with that "no quit" mentality as he wouldn't want to be seen as a coward in front of all his peers at the gym.
i ant gna lie though while i was watching it, it was entertaining. probably because the rest of mayweather's all access have been full of the same stuff. money hoes ***ellery
