Comments Thread For: Chris Algieri: Talented Taylor Capable Of Beating Broner

NEW YORK – Chris Algieri is well aware of why Adrien Broner is heavily favored to beat Emmanuel Taylor on Saturday night in Cincinnati.

Algieri knows as well as anyone, though, that Taylor has the ability to pull off what would amount to a huge upset in their 12-round, 140-pound main event at U.S. Bank Arena (Showtime; 9:30 p.m. ET). The unbeaten WBO junior welterweight champion out-boxed Taylor thoroughly in their ESPN2 main event Feb. 14 in Huntington, N.Y., yet walked away from their 10-rounder very impressed with Taylor’s skills.

I wouldnt be surprised if taylor catches broner with a hard counter uppercut. \

    WAR TAYLOR!!!

Wouldnt mind matthysse and both broner winning. Then we can see if broner is gonna man up and fight him. Most likely broner fights for titles once danny moves up weight.

Have you seen Taylor hitting the mitts? Dude is off balance and very ugly to watch. He's not doing **** but getting knocked out clean.

It's only natural for an underdog to root for another underdog under the same promotional banner. I not mad at him. Afterall a Taylor win will all the more legitimatize Algeries credentials since he had beat Taylor.

Broner/Taylor could be a good fight. Both like to walk down on their opponents and always looking for a KO. You'll never know who's going to budge first. KD's are possible on both sides. You'll never know who's going down first.

I'd be a bit surprised if Taylor wins. He is good but not quit special enough to beat Broner but that's we fighters fight, to settle it.
