Comments Thread For: Adrien Broner Promises Big Win: I Have No More Flaws!

Former three division world champion Adrien Broner (28-1, 22KOs) was flying high when he entered the ring for last December's fight against Marcos Maidana. In one of the year's biggest upsets, Maidana dropped Broner twice and captured his WBA welterweight title with a twelve round unanimous decision.

After the fight was over, Broner cut down on his late night partying and dropped down in weight to 140-pounds - a division he skipped when he jumped from 135 to 147 in June of 2013 against Paulie Malignaggi.

Good for him. If he wins tonight, all he needs to do is fight Mattysse like he said he would. Then we'll see if he he "has no flaws", left.

I know Broner has a big mouth, but I haven't given up on the kid yet. Seriously, I wish Oscar would make Pacquiao vs. Broner, and Garcia vs. Peterson, rather than Pacquiao vs. Garcia, and Broner vs. Matthysse. I don't know if Broner can beat Manny, but I feel he might do better than Danny Garcia. Broner is a very talented kid, who needs to mature, but how many of us didn't need to mature at 25?

It does because Garcia has the WBA/WBC Jr. Welterweight belts. Therefore Manny could clean out the Jr. Welterweights by beating Algeri and Garcia. However, after watching the Herrera fight, I think Garcia has serious problems against Manny. Broner, on the other hand, got man-handled by Maidana. I don't see Manny doing what Maidana did against Broner, but I could easily see Manny doing what Herrera did (and better) against Garcia.
