Marquez finishes what Margarito started.

In a way you are right, Margacheato was the one who started it-- cheating, that is (i.e. using illegal wraps, in case you forget). Too bad the ref stopped the fight the last time they fought, one more round and the cheater would have turned blind, and the scum would have gotten what he deserved.

Anyway this fight doesn't need to happen, Marquez has unfinished business with Pacquiao, if he wants people to stop thinking that he cheated (i.e. steroids) he should fight Pacquiao one more time, this time with VADA tests.

Cotto can still make 147, he didn't move up because he couldn't make weight, he moved up because he got his ass kicked and needed his own niche. At MW, he weighed what some welters weigh on fight night (around 160). He and Golovkin are both tiny for MW.

Cotto fans are a sneaky bunch. When Golovkin wants him at MW, he's too tiny, when Marquez wants him at 147, he's too big. I suppose if he gets challenged by anyone with a pulse and working knees at 154 he will just retire.

Yep no chance of this happening, didn't there would be. They should've proposed this fight a while back after the margarito fight or something. Would've made for a great fight, I doubt Miguel even defends that 160lb strap if he's forced to fight the rubio/golovkin winner. Likely vacates fights canelo because it's a bigger payday and maybe convinces Floyd or Manny to fight him at 154. He's about that ppv money now.

Wbc is going to allow Cotto to make 2 voluntary defenses of the title before they force him to fight his mandatory. So again Cotto will not be vacating.
