Opening up the Showtime televised broadcast from the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, former welterweight world champion Andre Berto (28-3, 22 KOs) will return to the ring against Steve Upsher (24-3-1, 6 KOs) in a 10-round over the limit welterweight bout.

Berto has been inactive since July of 2012, when he was knocked out by Jesus Soto Karass. He suffered a shoulder injury during the fight and underwent surgery following the loss. Berto has lost three of his last four and needs a big statement win to put himself back in the mix.
