When Floyd fought Sharmba Mitchell that talentless fraud Margarito had just lost a fight to some D-tier guy after it went to the cards from a cut a few months before the Citron fight. Why would he have fought Margarito then? Antonio Margarito the hack Mexican pinata, break him open and eyeballs fall out.

I don't "hate" on Floyd for looking out for number one, "himself". What I dislike is the fact that he carries the "best fighter in the world moniker", while only looking out for number one. I believe that if you only fight people based on convenience and risk vs reward, then you simply cannot be the best fighter in the world because you're essentially only fighting fighters who pose the least threat and bring the most profit. Him and his fans who support that are hypocrites. But that's how it is because all boxing fans are hypocrites.

The structure of the sport makes it that way. It's not structured like the other major sports. If you have multiple champions, you have multiple routes. And if you have multiple routes you can make choices on who to fight and if you can make choices, most of the time you'll choose the easiest routes. Which is why Hopkins is the greatest active fighter to me. Cause neither of his 2 contemporaries would dare fight anyone as dangerous as he's about to.

FYI, I think Kova is gonna stop him. But if Hop manages to win, Floyd neither Pacman have a prayer of catching up with him in terms of greatness.

Santos was better than Mitchell at that point.

Kostya Tzuyu had already destroyed Mitchell not once but twice.

I guess Mayweather fought him to make sure he was dead or something.

what does this have to do with anything? are u looking for a role model?... his kids look very happy when hes with them, all his childrens mothers are taken care of... all the negative energy he put out came back to bite him in the azz as it does with all human beings... we all make mistakes and nobody knows the whole full story but in the end it doesnt matter because his job is to box not morally please you or me, if you want someone to really complain about look no further than the people who actually control the world since you care so much...

Nope. Einstein is a genius; Floyd is a boxer.

In regards to the OP's enquiry, Floyd's ducking can't be explained away by claiming he simply pursues money. As someone else in this thread has pointed out, Floyd chose to fight Mitchell when there was a more lucrative offer to fight Margarito on the table. Also, fighting Pacquiao would have provided him with more money than any fight he's been in.

Even if he did simply pursue money fights, I think there would still be a lot of room for criticism. He would be willing to take millions of dollars of fans' money but deny them the fights they want most.
