I just saw a video of Pacquiao at the podium of his Aligieri press tour. Pacquiao looked out at the audience, made a fist, held it up in the air and declared, "And Yes Floyd.. YOU NEXT!!"

Yes. They are obviously using his name to sell their fight. But let's remember, that Floyd Mayweather was the originator of this brilliant marketing technique.

It all started in 2009 when Pacquiao was fighting Ricky Hatton. The day before the fight, Floyd Mayweather understood that he could piggy back Pacquiao's hype to announce his return from retirement and announce his comeback fight with Marquez.

This happened a day or two before Pacquiao vs Hatton. Floyd is the innovator using other fighter's hype to promote yourself. I find it amusing that Floyd's fans bash other fighters for using Floyd's name to promote their own fights, when it was Mayweather himself who invented the technique and started it all.

That's some boxing history right there.

Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach continues to claim that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a shot fighter who no longer has the ability to use movement for twelve full rounds. According to Roach, Mayweather's lack of movement is the reason for his refusal to face Manny Pacquiao in a welterweight unification. I guess that's what happens when reporters are ALLOWED TO ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT FLOYD/PAC. Reporters aren't banned to ask questions when it comes to Pac, but not sure about your idol though

I wish they would quit with this legs gone BS. They said the same thing before the Guerrero fight and after the Cotto fight and he went out and boxed his ass off. The problem is if he does use his legs and outbox Maidana they will say he's a RUNNER, if he stays on the ropes and counters then its his legs are gone. People will simply complain no matter what the man does.
