In 2008 did Mayweather leave boxing because the welterweight divsion was dangerous

I mean was he scared of a prime undefeated Cotto and also did he avoid Paul Williams???

I remember when a radio interviewer asked about Paul Williams he became avoided even mentioning his name????

Do you really think in 2008 when Paul was WBO Welterweight Champion Mayweather would have beaten him or a prime undefeated Cotto.

Also after Cotto 1st loss to Margacheato he never was the same person again. I started to tattoo himself and he broke up from his uncle's training camp.

He dedicated his entire life to the sport of boxing. Nothing wrong with taking a vacation after decimating fellow undefeated challenger Ricky Hatton

Partly. The fighters out there were just too risky for the available reward.

"Retiring" also helped increase his market value. The public anticipated his return more and TV were willing to pay him more to come back.

He got scared. The competition was getting tough. He didn't mean to retire. He was young. He was sobbing.
