    What Jeff Lacy did wrong

Lacy threw wide looping punches, and usually 1 punch at a time. Calzaghe threw short, fast combinations. Lacy didn't reposition himself after throwing punches, whereas Calzaghe stepped to the side of Lacy after throwing combinations. Lacy didn't modify his strategy, tried the same thing over and over for 12 rounds. Also, Lacy wore the Apollo Cree shorts to the fight. The main thing was probably Calzaghe's speed and timing that threw Lacy off.

there are many things Lacy did wrong and many things Joe did correctly....

in response to Lacy not repositioning himself...he did, but everytime he DID, Joe popped him with a jab or left hand and kept Lacy off balanced

If Lacy would move his head more and become more defensive I think he would do better. Maybe its time to switch trainers...

Lacy choked IMO. He thought he could KO Calzaghe. And know what, mentally I don't think Lacy was there. That's how turf/crowd factor works. If this fight was in America, Lacy would have more bigger mentality from support of Americans. Not meant to make excuse fo Lacy, but that's how I feel.

Lazy did what he always does I've seen him throw that hook over the top evertime and miss wild but last night is the only instance where the other man had an answer for it. He had no combos in the fight either and if he could have fainted with that left and just come up with an uppercut when joe had already been ducking it would have worked to his advantage. Joe studied that left hook and lacy was telegraphing like all hell last night.
