Unbeaten lightweight Felix Verdejo will fight Sergio Villanueva in an eight round bout on October 4, it was announced in a press release.

Boxingscene.com was the first to report Verdejo would fight on October 4.

The bout will headline a Top Rank/ All Star Boxing card that will take place at the Bahia Shrine Auditorium and Events Center in Orlando, Florida.

Villanueva is an opponent type Mex who's lost his last 2 of 4...no danger here 4 Verdejo...as O posted yesterday, it is in a small arena, the Bahia...decent card as Zabala, & matchmaker Rueben De Jesus usually have Mex vs PR type cards...

Actually Villanueva lost 2 of his last 3. Koed by Pedraza on June 2013, Won a UD against a guy with 5-2-2 record on July 2013, and lost to Bautista on May 2014. Villanueva appears as #197 on LW division so this fight shouldn't be a big problem for Verdejo.
