I really consider what Quillin did the equivalent of losing.
Should you get a L on your record if you duck a madnatory?

I kinda see your point, but the loss in prestige, like not being able to announce yourself as 'MW champion...blah blah' and the loss in earnings ought to be sufficient.
Those who care enough about the sport to care will know what's up. Those who don't know the story will just be less likely to follow the guy cos he ain't a 'champion'.
Either way, I don't think you can pin a loss on a guy when he hasn't actually lost - I can kinda see the point though. I guess even announcing himself as an 'ex-champ' carries the implication that he lost anyway.
This is some kinda weird BS going on though, however it pans out. -
yes that is fair. quacklin admitted defeat by vacating. so it should count as a loss on his record.Comment

No, but I would not mind if such a statistic was kept although not all mandatory skipping is equal sometime they get skipped for better fights.
So it would be like any stat really in that you have to know the deal behind the numbers but it is something that could be kept. If mandatory's were more consistently meaningful it would be a better stat.Comment

No!!!
Unfortunately, common folk do not have access to the inside scoop behind events that occur.
For all anybody knows, this move by Quillen could have a motive relating to his Manager and the new Roc Promotions winning bid.
In short, that is to state, that off-times fans aren't privy to the extenuating circumstances surrounding events, therefore it would be incredibly presumptuous to assume anything.Comment

Ok just to be clear if Demetrius Andrade's mandatory was Rose but he had an opportunity to fight Canelo does Andrade deserve an L because he skipped Rose for Canelo.Comment
