Comments Thread For: Hearn: Brook-Khan Could Be Finalized This Month

According to promoter Eddie Hearn, the all-British super fight between Kell Brook and Amir Khan could be finalized this month.

Brook, the current IBF welterweight champion has made no secret of his burning desire to fight Khan before and since winning his world title against Shawn Porter last month in America.

Hearn, Brook's promoter, is still negotiating a deal between the two which could lead to their grudge match taking place next May possibly at Wembley stadium after the success of the Carl Froch-George Groves rematch which drew in an outdoor crowd of 80,000 people as well as hugely positive pay-per-view sales.

Writing in his column for the Mail Online, Hearn said: “Khan obviously wants a fight with Floyd Mayweather, as does everyone in the division, but he knows that while that fight might never happen, even if it did he would make more money fighting Kell.

“Everything so far has been very straightforward and I am in talks with Wembley over a May date. They want us back there as soon as possible after the success of Froch-Groves – I have no doubt in my mind that we would fill that stadium again. I hope to have this tied up in the next month or so.” [Click Here To Read More]

I think this will spell the end for Khan. Brook is intelligent. I don't think Khan will get KO'd unless Brook shows absolutely no respect for Khan and really goes for the KO or catches him late when Khan is tired. I see a 116-112 in favour of Brook.

I think brook has tremendous timing and will counter khan at some point and hurt him bad. Really happy to see this fight being made and not be hampered by all the bull**** politics like in America. Two guys want to fight, make it happen.

Too many people are counting Khan out, I think Khan gives Brook serious issue with his speed should be a close fight but I think Khan wins Brook has beaten 1 good fighter who was perhaps over hyped Khan has been at this level for years now.

If khan sticks to his gameplan I think he should get the W but Khan almost always gets rocked so we'll have to see

This is a 50/50 fight imo, although if pushed i would go with brook as he's got the momentum while Khan is at a bit of cross road in his career.

This is a 50/50 fight don't count khan out I'd have him as the favourite. But I'd root for kell.

Do you believe this will be aired on Sky Box Office (UK Sky PPV) or just on Sky Sports

If Khan will fight the way like he did against Collazo (uglier than before but safer than before) he will get a decision win. I think he is a little more skilled and definitely faster than Brook. I still not completely sold on Brook. Sure, he is a good fighter but he seems a little too static and ceremonious. His timing is good and he has a strong jab, but IMO he won't able to work out Khan on the outside and he seems to me too static to get in the inside well or pocket well and damage Khan seriously.
If Khan would fought agains Garcia with the same strategy what he used agains Collazo, I think he could get an easy decision, however if Khan will change back his style than Brook probably will KO him in the middle round.
So in my opinion Khan has the better abilities and the fight would depend on which version of Khan would show up? If the one who fought Collazo, he get an UD, if the one who fought aginst Danny, he will get KO'd again.
I think more likely the former because he already learned his lessons. So IMO Khan by UD.

Ps: I think it would be indiscretion if they would already book an event in May because the fight is depend on if both of them will beat their next opponent or not. And if they realy eye with Guerrero or Devon than it won't be a cakewalk and there's a not major but still legit chance that they will be defetead.
