Makes perfect sense for Canelo to fight Clottey, he is coming off a tough fight so fighting a guy who pretty much at best will lose competitively. Clottey is fairly credible though and would be a decent feather in his cap (compared to most of the other names on his dossier) especially if he won convincingly.Comment

They want a showcase fight by canelo that will increase the hype to segue into the cotto fight for May 2015. Clottey will stand there in his shell while canelo rips off combos the crowd will ooooh and ahh. Kirkland was the fight I wanted.Comment

Hoping Clottey comes to fight. Clottey has very, very underrated skills. Also the bad taste he left in many fans mouths after the Pac fight. Bottom line is, Clotty has the skills to beat Canelo.
Clottey must be able to hold up in this fight though. As some one said before, he has lost most of his high profile fights... He has also been injured in all of those fights. He was beating Margarito ( hurt his hand ), he was beating Cotto ( freak knee injury... Fight complete changed after that ), hell, after the Judah fight was stopped ( in Clotteys favor ), it was reported that he injured his bicep.
Clottey has been snake bit his whole career. Hell, he got DQ'ed in the Baldimer fight, and was winning!...
I have always been a fan of Clottey! Hope he comes to fight, and comes to win. He has all the tools to get the victory.Comment
