Doesn't want to give his opponent any glory or respect. I bet Floyd watches alot of boxing.

Mayweather is probably the only fighter who uses advanced concepts of modern warfare in a boxing ring; Where prescient, real-time information is more valuable than past dated info.

Floyd executes ^^ this OODA loop(Observe, Orient, Decide, Act) faster than any other fighter because he is able totally focus on the moment, current environment, and his own abilities rather than waste time on outdated data from his opponent.

It's not bad at all, but sometimes on the psychological point of view, it affects them. But majority do watch the film on his/her opponent, it's a great advantage to do it as a part of general preparation before the fight.

All boxers at the elite level will watch tapes or their trainers do and work on ways of taking advantage of their opponents weaknesses in training.
