Besides that one time when he sparred, this is probably Floyd's best media workout that I can remember. He's going beastmode in a wide variety of exercises and routines.
i agree, one of his best workouts definitely wants to prove a point against Maidana in there 2nd fight... There will be drama in this fight thats for sure
Cutting off the ring has to be his first priority, I doubt it is. I cannot stand Sr. He probably has the biggest ego in the world, and never has anything nice to say. The people who lose under his watch just did not follow his instructions, he is classless.
if you ever talk to him though, he's the nicest guy there is
That was a slip-up on Floyd Sr's part. He did not mean to say radio, and instead TV or just video. He's recently expressed how he does NOT recommend fighters not watching footage of their opponent. He said this in his comments about Love's KO loss, that Love probably didn't watch him.
And said that fighters should watch footage, and that even though Floyd doesn't, he doesn't really recommend fighters do that.
boxer Anthony Thompson use to say its all bs to make him seem like he doesnt care about anything but he said not only does Floyd watch film but he does it alot but IDK if he is just saying what he thinks or what he knows. In that clip though Sr. says Floyd doesnt watch "much" film. He doesnt say that Floyd doesnt watch any which is what he claims alot.
Mayweather Sr. said he has seen a little bit of Vasquez on the radio... smh. Why does everyone in the Mayweather gym seem to be so anti film study? It is part of being a professional IMO.
some people do have that philosphy coming up. Some of the greatest HS & College football coaches, etc... think that if you just master your own stuff then you should win or that you dont have to worry about anyone else.
I still think Floyd watches film. IDK if he's a die hard hours on hours type but I think he watches a few fights from the fighter and quickly just picks up things. I wouldnt be shocked if he never hits stop, pause, or rewind. I think he just naturally can see things quick as they go and pick them up for the match but who knows

People would fools if they think a perfectionist like Floyd doesn't watch film; the jig was up on 24/7 vs Cotto when he mimicked all his movements perfectly.
