WBO junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri (20-0, 8KOs) has been watching Manny Pacquiao for years. On November 22nd, Algieri is going to challenge Pacquiao for the WBO welterweight title in Macau, China.
When they met for the first time, and went face to face at the kickoff press conference in China, Algieri admits that he was surprised with just how small the Filipino fighter was.

Excuses excuses excuses... You all know how weak of a move this is on Pacquiao's part but will defend it because of the Mayweather Pacquiao rivalry. This isn't cool and he should be criticized for it.Though Pac is a successful WW campaigner, and even at one point wins a title in LMW of which his weight not belonged to; still undeniable fact that he is just JWW fighter. His average weight during scales was far below the limit of welters and just a little bit above the welter minimum, and unable to rehydrates more than welters as other welters normally do during fight time.

Truth is, Freddie has been wanting Manny to go down to 140 since the Bradley fight. This catchweight comes as no surprise. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Pacquiao vs. Crawford or Garcia in the near future. Freddie/Arum is not interested in fighting @ 147 anymore. This is why this fight is against Algeri @ 144, and not Abregu @ 147. For that matter, it is why Amir Khan is not on the agenda either.Comment

DAFUQ. Manny is a "midget" he is small af.
It's not his fault his catch-weight fights prior were with slower opponents that were blitzed by him.Comment
