So I was skimming threw this thread then I nearly spilled my drink reading this ..... RELOADED has some nerve saying this when if polled, he would be on top of the heap when it comes to "no credibility"

So, as Aria himself said...Floyd started at 40 mil and Pac could've negotiated, but decided not to. That didn't mean that Floyd expected that Pac would except the first offer.
Sorry but when you go from 50/50 to NO PPV MONEY, that is not a serious offer!

Secondly, since you are taking that offer seriously, Arum did counter that offer with a $45 million flat fee for Floyd. So in reality, Floyd didn't counter Arum's offer. So going by your logic, Floyd didn't want to fight Manny because he didn't counter-offer Arum. Right?

No, The Castillo fight was a draw to me. I had Mayweather winning the first five rounds and also I think it was the 9th or 10th round. 6-6. I did however felt that Castillo was the better man that night. The rounds he won were more impressive. The Maidana fight was not close.

The reason I brought up those two fights clearly is because they were more competitive than his other fights. So if he was afraid of losing why rematch the too guys that gave him a tougher time than the others

Thanks, I'm glad you think so. But in retrospect, reading over what I hurriedly rushed to write down before I had to log off for other business, I realize I was rambling. I could have rephrased or left out the nonsense about his ego. LOL

My guess would be because of EGO & PRIDE...similar to Apollo Creed's reasoning for demanding a rematch with Rocky. Or at least that's what I feel would be the reason for the Castillo rematch. I just see the Maidana rematch as an easy way for him to kill two birds with one stone...maintaining that "0" while crossing off another fight in his Showtime contractual obligation.

Floyd had the judges on his side in both of those fights. With the Castilo fight, you need to remember that that was a long time ago.

For the Maidana rematch, they got the ref that deducted 2 points from Maidana a few fights ago (Karass). The returning judge gave Maidana's best rounds to FLoyd, Maidana can't use his preferred gloves, I'm sure that the ring size will be to Floyd's advantage ..... what else does Floyd need?

                    • What I find funny is When Floyd Mayweather called up Pacquiao he insisted he needed all the Pay-Per-View because unlike Pacquiao he didn't have other sources of income outside of boxing, thus the "What if I lose?" quote, because if he did/does lose, he believes his career is all but finished.

It doesn't get more obvious than this that Floyd heavily believes Pacquiao could beat him, most fighters have complete belief in themselves, some to the point of delusion, but something about Pacquiao shook Mayweather to his very foundation.
