Let's just say no answer would satisfy you. But how about Floyd fought ranked welters with title belts, who were still on top and coming off impressive wins before Floyd lifted their titles.

In interviews, Cotto would be asked about facing Floyd and he claimed "it would be up to my promoter" who was protecting his best interest$.

He is finally standing up for himself! He needs to call out Floyd's ducking more often and in more public settings, like press conferences. That should put a little more pressure on Floyd. He needs to know that real boxing fans won't accept protecting records by avoiding top competition.

Its kind of hard to call someone out for ducking when you are the guy that refused the fight twice.
