Comments Thread For: Garcia: If Maidana Lands Right, He Could KO Mayweather

Trainer Robert Garcia gives his fighter, Marcos Maidana, a good shot to win a twelve round decision over Floyd Mayweather Jr. Their rematch is set for September 13th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. A lot of experts feel Maidana will require a knockout to beat Mayweather in his backyard of Las Vegas. Garcia says a decision victory is possible but a knockout can happen if Maidana lands the right punch.

I reckon he'll have to drop Mayweather in at least 2-3 rounds to win a decision like he did Broner, can't see that happening.

More than the right punch is the right moment. I hope Garcia has identified those moments where Mayweather is vulnerable, and has drilled into Maidana's head what those moments are. Maidana needs to know when Mayweather will be susceptible to be hit with his best punch, and act.

It will almost certainly be much harder for Maidana to win a decision this go around, not because of corruption but because he will not be able to fight as rough and get away with it.

I Can drop Floyd if I land one on him. The hard part is landing that one. Many have tried and had the same ability.

One is always hopeful that the Ref will not interfere like we have seen some do lately.

One is hopeful the Judges won't flow with the money.

but in the end, Money talks in this world and the money man is JOY jr.

Not only will Joy jr have the ref and the judges in his pockets, he has the commision which is evident in the change of gloves.

I KNOW, lets have a pillow fight hahahahaha

anyone know the gloves OLD man moses used against JOY when he clocked that jaw and had Joy on his favorite street ?

ITs pitiful that these things happen in boxing.

But there is lots of hope for the future of boxing, it won't be Mayweather Promotions taking the lead , all their fighters are getting KO'd.

Can Maidana land that one punch, ABSOLUTELY !!!

WILL Maidana land that one punch ? The Jury is still out ! I won't buy the fight if I feel he can't land it,,,,,,,,,,,,,, only to see a draw and the decision go to JOY. I won't buy the fight if I feel the ref will pull a fair but firm move like in Hatton vs Joy, and the same for those judges.

              Off Thread :

Joy will pull the same **** on Pac if he gets by Maidana, but somehow I don't think Pac will go for it. Joy will have to change his tune and pull his head out of his ***, but he likes it there, likes the seclusion.

Floyd has never been in a fight were he got completely blown out and someone could scream robbery IMO .yes he has been in fights were it could go either way like the Castillo fight in which I think Castillo won, or even his first fight with maidana which I think mayweather won but would not scream robbery had maidana won they were just close fights.

I could see if it was williams vs Lara type situation or Bradley vs pacquiao 1.

I think people want him to lose so bad that if he does not completely dominate a fight the other guy gets robbed in there eyes.

Why does it sound like you're righting a poem? lol....And Mosley was wearing Grants - more evidence that a good puncher doesn't need a specific glove to punch hard. If Maidana can't knock Floyd out in the powerlocks, he sure as hell isn't doing it with the MX's. Nevertheless, I think Maidana should've still been allowed to wear his gloves.

Can you tell us what those moments are? Where exactly is Floyd susceptible or vulnerable?
Every single fighter says that and idiotic fans repeat that **** but when asked what moment it is they have no answer.
So can you tell us what they are in your expert opinion?
