Maybe he needs to ramp it up more slowly. Winning a round early in the fight against Mayweather doesn't take anywhere near as much energy as winning a round from 7-12.

yeah I agree,i think the boxer with one of the best conditioning I have ever seen too was Chavez sr...look at his fight against Rosario man the guy just runs back to his corner during the later part of the fight, threw a lot of punches and didn't get tired, thats stamina

Floyd had figured out by round 4, all u need to do is smash Maidana in the body and fight him in the middle of the ring and Chino gasses fairly quickly

Maidana has a weak body, and wastes many punches hitting thin air and gloves, conditioning will always be a factor

Floyd Found Out He Lost The First 7 Rounds & Needed To Find His Bike!

Just like chino said, when he ran out of gas , Floyd got away and moved jabbing the rest of the way, and decisions are more times won by who finishes the strongest , which swayed judges. I believe knowing what to expect, what worked so well, knowing Floyd has lightweight hitting power and can't hurt Marcos, I believe Floyd will find out he doesn't have the legs to get away AND stay away from Maidana, and I think this is where the "0" goes away. Maidana is too young, too big, too strong, doesn't respect Floyd , will be in better shape ... Floyd's ego will get him blown up in this fight. It's happened to them all before him. When that first fight was over, the look on Floyd's face was priceless; he was in a helluva war, and didn't know how it would play out with judges. His ego is so big, he thinks if he moves more he can show it to be an easier fight, because the first one made him look bad; he's all about his image. Unfortunately this will prove a fight he should not have let his ego get in the way of.

Maidana's best rd was rd 5.

Ariza had Maidana on rest days and ****, and I'm sorry, but thats not the way to train a rugged fighter like Maidana. You go old school like Kirkland. Thats what they're doing this time around. Can't wait.

IMO, Manny's was more amazing because you need to consider that Floyd fights in spots while Manny was at you offensively for the entire 3 minutes of 12 rounds.

The Red Cake (Maidana) Vs The Big Mac (Mayweather). Which one will hurt more?

The problem is that 2 judges didn't even give Maidana his best rounds! In the second, one of those 2 judges will be judging AGAIN! Maidana needs to bring a bat while Floyd demands he comes with pillows!

Which is why Floyd has stayed away from Manny for 6 years now. He's had a plethora of story lines and excuses for not making a Pacquiao fight happen. Truth of the matter he got feedback from Mosley & Cotto that told Floyd all he needed to hear. Floyd can't match Manny's hand or foot speed, Pacquiao cuts the ring off very well. Manny hits way harder than Floyd which means when Manny realizes Floyd's lack of power, Floyd can't keep Manny off. And most importantly, Manny has a motor that will run all night; he never runs out of gas. Those are all variables that Floyd says, "No way, taking no chances... I'll just put the blame on Arum... I don't like Arum; we'll call it that". Even today Sr cries foul at the way Pacquiao just wore down and closed out Cotto. They want to cry he was juiced up, but Manny has been tested for years and never failed a drug test, AND NONE of the guys beaten or knocked out by Manny have EVER accused Manny of juice. Floyd's just not interested in rolling the dice with Pacquiao, for ANY amount of money.

That's how Floyd levels the playing field. He knows he can't hurt anyone, so if he can insure the other guy has pillows, then that minimizes the risk of Floyd getting hurt. When he got cracked in Rd 2 by Mosley, that put the fear of God in Floyd to make sure he never gets hit that hard again. I honestly don't believe it will matter this time. Maidana better conditioned, more confident. Floyd will not be more confident, can't get in any better shape, and his legs are 37 years old. He's toe to toe more often because he can't move like he once did.
