Comments Thread For: Photo: Dawson's Badly Injured Calf From Trout Loss

After three rounds of action last Friday night in California, the smell of an upset was in the air. Daniel Dawson (40-4-1, 26KOs) of Australia had dropped former champion Austin Trout (27-2), twice, and seemed to be on his way to an upset win. But then Trout started fighting back strong, and Dawson badly injured his calf muscle in the fifth round. He initially tore it in the fifth round and from that point forward he was a one-legged fighter. Trout scored his own knockdown in the eight and piled up the points to win a ten round unanimous decision. Dawson has vowed to come back stronger in the next fight.

Unfortunately unlucky injuries happen in boxing which can change the course of a fight (see Matthysse-Garcia).

Dawson gave a good account of himself though, did much better than his Australian compatriots in recent weeks.

His stock goes up and Trout's bum azz goes down significantly

It takes a real G to stand up to that beating he took in the 2nd half of the fight with one leg; had I been him I would have out on a high note Julio Diaz style(lmao at bum azz Thurman but I digress).............. from the pics the injury looks nasty and probably take 4-5 weeks to heal

Maybe Bradley should have showed Pictures like this rather than sitting in a wheel chair in claiming he injured his ankle against Pacquaio

****, man. Trout couldn't even take out a one legged fighter.
