If this guy had even the same sort of power as Guerrero, Khan or someone similar he could be in for a long successful ride but like I said his lack of power will force his opponents to disrespect his offense if they are pretty durable at taking shots and possess some of their own power.

Someone like Matthysse would walk through him, Postol would make it an ugly fight and Broner somehow would get knocked the f out I hope lol
Not having power isn't a precursor to a bad career. Pernel Whitaker never stopped tons of guys and look how well he did.

Well, Castillo already did beat him on points, so there goes your theory

You have picked against Pacquiao no matter how weak the opponent is. Quit calling yourself a Pacquiao fan because you clearly want him to lose. I have yet to read a post by anyone saying Algieri was not a good boxer because he clearly is a good boxer. Is he a good enough boxer to defeat Pacquiao? HELL NO. Pacquiao has defeated many fighters who not only are better boxers than Algieri but much harder punchers than the light punching Algieri. Pacquiao is a 1o to 1 betting favorite for clear reasons but throw your money away betting on under dog Algieri if you really believe he will win.

The thing is, can Algieri keep Pacquiao honest with this punches? I think that's the key here, if he can then his style could very well frustrate Manny all night and make it close down the stretch. I think his gameplan will be to keep pumping a stiff jab and come in with that right hand when Manny tries to bullrush in and circle out, he'll be fighting with measured distance I'd imagine. It's an interesting strategy because he we haven't really seen anybody try to implement that on Pac-Man besides maybe Marquez and first Morales fight. However, another issue here is that Manny is a better boxer than given credit for, it's not that easy to outbox him.

You would think a guy from a kickboxing background would have an awkward style and lots of power like most of them do but Algieri is just the opposite. Textbook elusive boxer who needs to work on his aggression. It's very odd to see how that happened.

So Chris just pulled off two upsets before landing the Pac fight, Taylor and Ruslan, and Pac is the trifecta?

How would Floyd do against Chris? Maidana is flat foot and tailormade, but how would floyd do against a mover and technical boxer with height and reach advantage over him?

We have only seen him in against tall boxers with flat feet like Corrales with no slick boxing capability.

After he beats Pac, it would be nice for Mayweather to unify the titles with him, do you think Floyd would take the fight? Chris would have to go for combos galore against Floyd though because no way he wins in Vegas agaisnt Floyd.
You don't sound like a student of the game. What does "flat-footed' mean to you? Maidana has decent footwork, he was able to cut off the ring effectively against Floyd. And he isn't "tailor made" for Floyd, the fight proved ihe wasn't. Be intelligent and assess the fight as it actually played out - not what the media and sports books predicted it would.
