August is always the quietest month of the boxing calendar with very few notable promotions anywhere in the world as fighters re-charge their batteries.
It provides managers and promoters such as myself with time to take stock and scheme the futures of our fighters.
Paul Butler recently abdicated his IBF bantamweight throne to campaign back down in the super-flyweight division. He is England's fastest ever World Champion, and I am hugely excited about what the future holds for the Ellesmere Port man. There are a few options on the table that we are discussing for his next fight on the massive bill we are staging on 25thOctober at Liverpool's Echo Arena, and look out for an official announcement next week.
