This is such a joke of a fight it isn't even funny...Algeri really?? he gets a title shot at 147 why?? because Top Rank has no fighters on their roster at 140-147 so Algeri has now joined the circle jerk of recycled fights..and you actually have posters acting like this is a good fight...the man has 0 power and lives off of his jab which will get countered all night,...this is a bull**** fight but i know i will be called names but damn this is ridiculous

The guy might not have KO power, but his body shots are very sharp, and he's very tough.

And the guy moves like no other. This isn't an easy fight for Pac, at all. That's why this is a dumb fight. No one cares who Algieri is, AND he's gonna make Pac look bad in a lot of the rounds.

And he doesn't just have a jab. The guy has great body combinations, and very good speed on his punches. He's not an easy out for any fighter.

The only people who call this a joke fight are Floyd fans, they have to discredit Pac. Everyone here said this is not ppv worthy thats a fact, but its not a bad fight.

Did you say the same for Pacman getting a shot as a 25 to 1 underdog going up to 126 to fight Barrera for the lineal title? what did Pac do at 126 to get a shot at Barrera, nothing he dominated at 122 against a guy named Ledwaba who was being built up to challenge Barrera and morales at 126.

Ruslan was being considered as the next Pac opponent, Algier upset the apple card and won the belt and proved himself so he logically gets the bout.

Nobody complained when Bradley fought Ruslan at 147 for the title.....

It's a very loose comparison. A back foot fighter who is longer than Manny and has good movement, albeit that's where the comparison ends.

C'mon, it's not as if there's many - any! - guys out there fighting like Floyd!! Algieri is one of the closer approximations that is a viable (barely) opponent for Pacquiao.

awesome, awesome fight!!! Can't wait to see pacquiao again in the ring. Always worth the money spent on ppv. Not like the boring fest mayweather puts on. He needs those 24/7 and all access shows to sell a fight. And he always needs a hispanic to sell his fights also. Pacquiao by himself with no ppv undercard or reality show where he has to put on a show or talk alot of trash does decent numbers in ppv. Because of how exciting he is in the ring and how humble he is outside of the ring. Can't wait till november!!!
