Comments Thread For: Maidana: Now I Know Floyd Mayweather's Mistakes

Marcos Maidana (35-4, 31KOs) feels he has the upper hand in the upcoming rematch with WBC/WBA welterweight/junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (46-0, 26KOs). When they met in May, Maidana was clueless as to what he might encounter in the ring. Maidana lost a twelve round majority decision, but he took plenty of mental notes on Mayweather. In their rematch, on September 13th from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Maidana plans to exploit Mayweather's in-ring errors.

Mayweather backs straight up on occasion, but I don't know if that looping right of Maidana's
    can catch it clean

You mean the same "aggressive style" that Castillo, Corrales, Hatton, Ortiz and many others thought Floyd couldn't get away from? Lol.. Seriously, I know they want to sell the fight, but enough with the talking already.. Just go out there and do it in the ring. Other then a few delusional Maidana fans and a few hardcore Floyd fans who just want to see Mayweather pick up another easy win, the majority of boxing fans do not think this rematch is even necessary. Smart money says Floyd will make the easy adjustments of staying off the ropes and slipping away from the corners to a fairly easy UD. Stop talking and just prove everyone wrong.

          B.s.!! :d

Just how they're telling him what gloves to where, and what kind of panties to wear underneath his shorts, they're also telling him to try to SELL the fight. Because smart people know this PPV IS ****!!

"Maidana is going to come in with an aggressive style, that nobody, not even the best boxer can get away with, and Mayweather's not going to get away with it."

Get away with, or get away from?

LOL @ you posting this like Castillo didn't clearly beat Mayweather the first fight and even the second fight was debatable....

Except he didn't clearly beat Floyd the first fight and second fight was not debatable. And for the record I'm not even a Floyd groupie.. Just a fan of boxing and a realist.

Castillo didn't clearly win anything. The first fight was debatable but nobody clearly won. The second fight was a clear victory for Floyd.
