i have just heard in the local news that lacey is still in hostpital and has saspected swelling of the brain i just hope the kid is ok.a good beating does one of two things to a fighter it ethier makes them or breaks them.and i think we have not heard the last of lacy.i think the way his corner acted last night was a dissgrace all could see that by the 10th he was out on his feet and all the lacy corner could come up with was (hit him with the one two)the corner should of pulled him out at the latest by round 11. but all his manger his girlfriend, and his corner could see where money signs i just hope to god that he is ok.and i know if they had of pulled him out lacy and the fans would not of been happy.but it is life and death in the ring and some times if you dont have the right people behind a fighter it can be a very fine line between the two

I think their motives were not so sinister....but rather that they believed his hype, and maybe thought LACY could still turn it round?

just heard on local radio said (that he will under go more tests) but it is better safe that sorry no body wonts him droping dead on the plane home i hope he is ok

I've said in several other threads that the corner should have stopped it after the 9th or 10th. It was clear he had no legs and nothing on his punches. I hope he is ok, because he's a young fighter and a beating like that can ruin him, especially his first beating- he may never be the same. The corner was a bit selfish, I think. It was obvious Lacy needed a stoppage, even multuiple KD's wouldn't work, after the 9th. So why let him continue? He clearly did not have the power at that point to knockout Calzaghe, who had been hit with a couple flush early punches by Lacy and showed no sign of being hurt- and that's when Lacy DID have the power.

There's the difference of a trainer like McGirt and Lewis (stopping Gatti v. Mayweather and Tszyu v. Hatton) and Birmingham. Lacy's corner never really gave him any significant advice during rounds either. If YOU can't even advise him on what to do to win, and looks worse every time he comes to the corner, throwing next to no punches, with next to nothing on them, then just might be time to stop the fight- particularly with a young, talented guy like Lacy.

also whats up with that guy screaming WE GONE BRING DA PAIN in the background everytime when they announce lacys name..he needs to get rid of him
