Comments Thread For: Kell Brook To Headline Massive 12/6 Bill In Sheffield

Kell Brook 33-0 (22KOs) will headline a card featuring some of the biggest names in British boxing on December 6 at the Motorpoint Arena in his hometown of Sheffield, England.

The show will be a homecoming for Brook as he makes the first defence of the IBF welterweight title he captured against Shawn Porter over in America earlier this month.

With U.S premium cable networks HBO and Showtime both interested in broadcasting this event, opponents such as Robert Guerrero, Josesito Lopez, Andre Berto and Brandon Rios are all being considered. [Click Here To Read More]

Rios or Guerrero would be a good call. It's become a little uncomfortable watching Lopez getting overpowered. He needs the right kind of physical work before going in with Brook.

I agree, Rios or Guerrero should be the targets. I also wouldn't mind seeing Berto. Anyone but Josesito Lopez.

Brook should stay away from Guerrero, Pacquiao, Thurman as they are the best welter's behind Mayweather and would beat him - anyone else he beats - like I said yesterday Bradley would be a good name and with a win over Bradley in December and Khan in May (provided Khan doesn't lose in December himself) he could be Mayweathers opponent in September. I hope he doesn't fight Berto as he is past his best and his last outing against Karass he looked shocking.

Did you seriously just call Guerrero one of the best welter's behind floyd? Ok lol. Thurman we can debate once he steps up but Guerrero?

Berto fought with one arm for most the karass fight, yet was ahead in scorecard at the time of stoppage. From a fan standpoint, I wouldn't mind any of the fighters mentioned minus Lopez, from a business standpoint, I wouldn't recommend it. All fighters mentioned above except Lopez, I believe would beat brooks (yes, even berto) or give him very competitive fights. Again, as a fan, I would love if he fought any of the mentioned fighters, but as a business man, I would go for a paulie, mike alvarado type who are a level below but still bring out a good crowd, build up your name some more then cash out in a khan clash next year.
