Is it me or boxing is not what it used to be...

Boxing was crazy back in 2008/2009/2010, it just seems as if it had slowed down overall since then.

This year hasn't been that good. Most fights have been flat, boring, or just plain bad.

I can only think of 4 fights that I've enjoyed this year..

I've been a dedicated fan for 15 years. It is not the same as it was. You rarely see a Mosley vs Oscar type fight, or tito vs Vargas. The best dont fight the best anymore.

I think this year actually had a few good fights when you look at them. But I think the amount if promoter involvement is stopping a lot of good fights being made and the amount of dodgy scoring we have seen the past couple of years is worrying. I think once pac and mayweather retire the focus will shift away from them. For example the welterweight and light middleweight division will be more competitive because floyd can't hold the belts hostage and somehow defend his light middle belt against a welter rather than a legit light middleweight.
