When he fought ouma he was still being touted as the next best thing that was not the case when hagler fought monroe monroe was a primed skilled philadelphia fighter. Really only after hagler avenged those losses did he really begin to come into his own. GGG at the time he fought ouma was being regarded as the next great MW and was viewed by many as an unstoppable force and unbeatable in many respects.Bottom line ouma was a past his prime JMW, monroe was a prime tough skilled MW who hagler beat in the first fight and crushed in the rematch. GGG struggled with a faded JMW all time great fighters dont do that very often. There is no comparing the two scenarios.Last edited by dray435; 08-27-2014, 02:36 AM.Comment

I didnt say robbery idiot that came out of your ****** mouth not mine I simply said hagler won the fight clearly in the eyes of many observers but he later erased any doubts by brutally stopping him monroe a prime skilled fighter at that, in the rematch.Comment

Looks like nobody agrees with you on Hagler Monroe, including Hagler himself.Comment

He certainly wasn't an "established great champ". For all his struggle, he was never hurt, never in danger of losing, and won brutally in a fight stopped too late. And in the 3+ years since, he's been destroying ranked MWs.

Read the post clown I said many observers felt it was a robbery you said I said or I was trying to make it out to be a robbery that's not what I said I said many observers thought it was learn how to distinguish the two.Comment

And you're still talking nonsense. You cannot provide any evidence at all that the general consensus was that Hagler was robbed against Monroe. Goody Petronelli never had any problem calling the Watts fight a robbery, but he never did with regards to the Monroe fight - why do you think that is?Comment

It did come out of your ****** mouth though, not Ray's, see that quote he was responding to. What he said is, nobody really thought it was a robbery. I think I'd go with him, cause you seem wrong every time.Comment
