Thats why it is so sad he moves up - i think you might be wrong. Kessler is a far different fighter than Lacy, has a longer reach, more speed and a power-jap..Originally posted by BeowulfI knoiw Kessler is a very good fighter, i've seen a couple of his fights, but he is not as good as Joe Calzaghe as things stand. Once Joe moves up, Denmark will have an undisputed champion though...Comment

But Calzaghe has more speed, power, movement, etc. Kessler isn't Joe-standard........yet.
Would love to see that fight though.Comment

Keep in mind that Joe does not look that impressive everytime he fights.Originally posted by BeowulfI knoiw Kessler is a very good fighter, i've seen a couple of his fights, but he is not as good as Joe Calzaghe as things stand. Once Joe moves up, Denmark will have an undisputed champion though...
Don't know what Kessler fights you've seen. But chances are we have yet to see his full potential.
Mundine fight is the only one where he's ever been put under real pressure (handeled it well enough). In that fight Kessler was poorly prepared because of- and generally hampered by a severe back-injury that had postponed the fight.
None of us have ever seen a fully fit Kessler put under pressure.
Judging from last nights performance i don't see why Kessler couldn't be equally impressive against a limited Lacy.
Would be a lot easier to judge both Kessler and Calzaghe if they met in the ring.Comment
