well, I consider them victims of circumstance. when it comes to predicting, someone will make a prediction based on what they've seen lately. and lately, lacy has appeared to be a force. it's just that they forgot how many tough fights the guys lacy was a force against had, or overvalued lacy's victories over them. and even the people who picked lacy but were skeptical over those opponents he beat, reassured themselves by watching his KO's over guys like Pemberton and Reid.. there are other factors that made lots of people pick lacy, such as 'dont bet on the older white guy who's a shadow of his former self' (im a white person saying this, so it isnt racist) especially when he's 'been on the canvas before and is facing the biggest puncher he's ever faced'. throw in a pretty big age difference and reach difference both in favor of lacy, and there's your slew of predictions. also, alot of american fans considered welshmen weak, for some reason, as well. all of this adds to a lacy prediction if you haven't been following joe his whole life and know what he can do. or know how styles conflict with one another and saw lacy being at a disadvantage being the slugger vs the crafty boxer puncher.

Has nothing to do with Joe being from the UK. Anytime a fighter that is brawling KO puncher with some quality wins, who is undefeated, goes up against a older fighter that is more of a boxer and viewed as less of a devestating puncher - the puncher is always favored. Same goes for Mike Tyson, Samuel Peter, etc. People always assume the puncher is going to knock the other guy out and cant picture the big puncher being beat.
